Police Dept

Posted by admin under Congratulations

I would like to thank the police officer who woke my husband and I up at 2:30am on 10-23-06 (i think) because my husbands company van doors were left open. Despite the fact that he had to wake us up and took the chance of us being grumpy he did it anyway, to be sure that everything was ok. Everything was ok but I appreciate his checking it out. The next day in the paper I saw that Tyler had a large amount of car break ins that same nite. THANK YOU WHITEHOUSE POLICE DEPT.

Whitehouse Voters Approve $15 Million Bond

Posted by admin under Schools, News

A school bond election in Whitehouse was narrowly approved - by 34 out of nearly 5,000 votes.

The $15 million bond issue for a new elementary school in Whitehouse was approved by 2,514 votes, or 50.34 percent, while 2,480 voters, or 49.66 percent, voted against.

The elementary school was the only project in the proposal. It’s expected to trigger an estimated tax increase of 3.27 cents, or 2 percent, over the 2006-07 rate of $1.445 per $100 property valuation.
