AARP Tax Aide: 1-3:30 p.m., Whitehouse Library, 107 Bascom Road, Whitehouse, 3:30-6 p.m., Tyler Public Library, 210 S. College Ave. AARP Tax-Aide is a free, nationwide, confidential service that prepares tax returns and answers tax questions; available to taxpayers with middle and low income, with special attention to those age 60 and older. Those who participate are requested to bring a copy of their prior year’s tax return; all Social Security cards for taxpayer and dependents; income and expense documents (W2s; 1099s; etc) and the 2005 tax forms they may have received in the mail. AARP Tax Aide cannot prepare hurricane related tax returns, active military or Married Filing Separate. E-filing is available at TASCA and the Tyler Library.
