Lady Cats Won Their Season Opener

The Whitehouse Lady Cats won their season opener Thursday in the opening round of the Pine Tree Lady Pirate Tournament. Whitehouse shut out Longview 3-0.
After a scoreless first half, Elissa Parker scored, followed by Lindsay Pritchard with two goals. Jordan Jackson and Heather Lofties both had an assist.
Melissa Camp, a freshman goalie, posted her first shutout.
Whitehouse (1-0) faces Nacogdoches in the second round of the tournament at 4 p.m. Friday.
