Courtney McFarlin was named Outstanding Defensive Player

Whitehouse’s Courtney McFarlin was named Outstanding Defensive Player of District 17-4A volleyball, the league’s coaches announced.

Pine Tree’s Jessica Crow was tabbed Most Valuable Player, while Brittany Denton of Hallsville was Outstanding Setter.

Also, Hunter Howell of Pine Tree was voted Outstanding Hitter.

Kilgore’s Kenzie Whitmer was tabbed Newcomer of the Year and Pine Tree’s Linda Godwin was Coach of the Year.

First-teamers were Mary Deason of Henderson, Courtney Adams of Hallsville, Kayla Broyles of Hallsville, McKenzie Sharp of Kilgore, Brittani Toole of Whitehouse, Caitlyn Carson of Marshall, Casey Castleberry of Pine Tree and Kali Morrison of Pine Tree.

Second-team members are Amber Tilley of Jacksonville, Macy Phenix of Henderson, Kayla Jackson of Hallsville, Carmen Wingrove of Hallsville, Aisha Kelly of Kilgore, Amy Mulgrew of Whitehouse, Jordan Knight of Whitehouse, Jacquietta Rasberry of Marshall, Rachel Goodman of Pine Tree and Berri Primo of Pine Tree.

Whitehouse’s honorable mention players were Britnee Wilson, Lauren Schlattner and Joanna Blake.
