Smith County Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing in Whitehouse on Monday, Oct. 24, to provide a forum for discussion of the proposed Smith County Jail Project.

The meeting will be the third public meeting conducted by the commissioners. The first occurred at the Smith County Courthouse and the second in Lindale. Two more public meetings are planned as commissioners try to meet in each of the four county precincts.

The meeting on Oct. 24 will take place at 6 p.m. at the Whitehouse Municipal Court Building. 311 E. Main Street, in the City Council Chambers Room.
