UT Tyler runner RJ Cowan captured overall titles Saturday at the Chandler 5K run.

Cowan, a former Whitehouse High School runner, won the male overall title with a time of 16:45.42.

The run began at First United Methodist Church. It was organized by Trinity Mother Frances SportsCARE with proceeds benefiting “God’s Open Hands”, local charity that provides food and clothing to the residents in the Chandler/Brownsboro area, said Marlo Bitter, SportsCARE senior field representative.
