Shawn Pennyroyal Backer has been hired on to the staff of KFFC, a large Houston advertising agency and fried chicken conglomerate.
After serving his country in covert operations in Nashville and Peru, he is now crafting award-winning campaigns for clients including Kappas, Schlitz, Huggies, Pig-N-Whistle, MaidenForm Bras, and Hungry Man Frozen Entrees.
His work has been featured in The New Yorker, Conroe Daily News, Tyler Mid-day Telegraph, Vanity Fare and Carny Quarterly.
Also, he met Larry Flynt at a Baskin Robbins once on a Tuesday and they shared a small cup of rocky road, but used two spoons.
After more than five years on a chinese steamer, working in the furnace room, he turned his ill-gotten life over to baby Jesus and then enlisted in the Coast Guard. He was given a discharge when it was discovered he became seasick even when the craft was still docked.
After prowling around the southeast as a crossing guard and carny, he met his current wife in a five & dime, where she was head cashier. Sparks flew over beef jerkey and the mechanical horse, and both were instantly smitten. Two weeks later, they wed at the White Evangelica Chapel of Holy Matrimony in Key Key. They honeymooned between Snickersburro, Georgia and the Athens 500 Speedway where Dale Earnhart, Jr gave them a free RV for the long weekend. Shawn was quoted as saying, “Tarnation, never, ever, in my wildest dreams, could I imagine I’d be sitting in a Recreational Vehicle owned by Mister Dale Earnhart, Junior. He even had the fridge stocked head to toe with ice cold diet squirt and YooHoo and ringdings. Man o’ live.”
On Saturday, September 8th, Shawn will be coming to Brookshires to sign his recently published leaflet based on his extensive travels and lessons learned. Pictures with Shawn are $5.

The following problem transactions have been posted on eBay during the past six months against Carl Fontenot who resides in Whitehouse, and trades on eBay as �laptopchopshop�. Many of the buyers have tried to obtain refunds for defective merchandise, or items which never shipped, few seem to have had any success. I would hate to think this is a fair representation of Whitehouse, Texas.
